Athlete's foot is a common skin condition found in all sorts of different people caused by anthropophile fungi which occurs in the spaces between your toes and it easily spreads (contagious), you can get it if you come in contact with the affected area of the person who has it. The medical name for Athlete's foot is "Tinea Pedis" if its left untreated it can spread to other arts of the body such as face and hands.

Contracted through areas in which ones barefooted through community areas such as locker rooms, swimming pools, shower stools
One can also get in contact with the fungi at home reason for that is because the fungi likes warm, moist areas around the house
People who wear tight fitted footwear example athletes are a prime target for the fungi also if you don't dry your feet properly you can catch it and spread it.
